SCIENCE 01 – Physical Science

Content

This course forms the basis of further studies in physical science. It covers aspects of chemistry and physics. The course focuses on: the properties and reactions of metals, acids and bases, electricity, forces and motion.

SCIENCE 02 – Living World and beyond

Content

This course covers aspects of Biology, Earth Science and Astronomy. Part of the course forms the basis for Biological Science at Level 1. This course provides an introduction to ecology and genetics. Students will learn about rocks, minerals and other aspects of geology. Students will also look beyond the earth to the stars and planets in a study of astronomy. Parts of the course will involve a practical investigation.

SCIENCE 11 - Biology

Content

This course covers an understanding of human reproduction and genetics and how genetic information passes to the next generation. Part of the course also focuses on research and practical investigations in Biology and Science.
