SOCIAL STUDIES 01 (SOST01)

Content:

This is a foundation course for further study in the Social Sciences, with an emphasis on History and Economics.
Students will learn about human rights and social justice, current events and New Zealand identity. Students will learn to recognise their own values and the values of others and investigate how students can make a difference by taking effective social action.

SOCIAL STUDIES 02 (SOST02)

Content:

This is a foundation course for further study in the Social Sciences, with an emphasis on Geography and Classical Studies.
Students will learn about environmental and social sustainability and develop their skills of social inquiry. They will enhance their knowledge of key social studies concepts and develop empathy for different perspectives. Students will develop their understanding of Greek mythology.
