COMPUTING 01 (COMP01)

Content:

Learn to use digital information within a guided course in preparation for continuing at Level 1 or for use in later life. This course will include use of: Spreadsheets, Word Processing, Desktop Presentation and Computer Graphics.

Prerequisites:

Nil

Stationery:

1 x 12-8-2 ringbinder, 1 set of dividers


COMPUTING 02 (COMP02)

Content:

Learn to use digital media (within a teacher negotiated course allowing for some student freedom) that will equip you for either a Level 1 course in this area or for use in later life. The course will include use of: Dsign skills, Presentations, Internet skills, Web design and Animation.

FOOD & NUTRITION 01 (FOOD01)

Content:

Old versus New: How cooking and eating patterns have changed in New Zealand. A range of practical skills including some preserving, baking and meal preparation, and basic nutrition.
Celebratory Table: Students will research a celebration of their choice, trial recipies and present a celebration meal.

FOOD & NUTRITION 02 (FOOD02)

Content:

Adolescent Nutrition: Nutritional guidelines for teenagers, Nutrients, Influences on eating, Evaluating own food intake.
Café Foods: A visit to city cafes. Students develop their own café menu and present a café meal.
Café Lifestyle: A portfolio of written work developing a menu, and testing and evaluating a variety of recipes. Presenting a café meal.

Campion Assessments:

Three day food recall and dietary analysis.
Present a café menu and meal.

GRAPHICS 01 (GRAP01)

Content:

Learn to develop your own unique design solutions. Students will complete a design project after learning, teacher directed, skills in rendering, free-hand sketching and 2D and 3D instrumental drawing.

GRAPHICS 02 (GRAP02)

Content:

Learn to develop your own unique design solutions. Students will complete a design project after learning, teacher directed, skills in rendering, free-hand sketching and 2D and 3D instrumental drawing. Students can either build upon the experience from GRAP01 or start with GRAP02

Learn to use materials and processes that will equip you for either a Level 1 course in this area or for you to use in later life. Learn to focus your ideas and manage your time, linked to making a teacher directed project.

TECHNOLOGY 02 – Hard Materials (TECH02)

Content:

Learn to use materials and processes that will equip you for either a Level 1 course in this area or for you to use in later life. Learn to focus your ideas and manage your time, linked to making a teacher directed project. Students can either build upon the experience from TECH01 or start with TECH02

Content:

Learn to apply essential techniques used in the textile industry which reflect the image and needs of a client
