Students will develop the dramatic techniques of voice, expression, movement and gestures and use these in a variety of exercises.Students will call upon their own experiences and ideas to create their own stories through devised and impromptu performances.NZQA Internal Assessment:

Content:
Students will participate in group performances, practising aural (listening) and ensemble skills and studying selected artists and music. They will learn the fundamentals of composition, practising creative skills and learning compositional technology.Prerequisites:
Minimum of 1 year’s music tuition from either a private or the school itinerant music tutor.Co-requisite:
Weekly lesson with a music tutor.MUSIC 02 (MUSC02)

Students will participate in solo performances, practising aural (listening) and communication skills, using performance skills and sound technology and studying selected artists and music.Prerequisites:
