ARTD 31 - Establishing a design situation (ARTD31)
Content:
Students will research Gothic, Art Nouveau, Bauhaus and Contemporary Design movements in terms of typography. They will also establish a design situation in which they have a personal interest; a problem with multiple briefs to solve. The students will be asked to solve a brochure brief that relates to their design situation.NZQA Internal Assessment:

Content:
Students will have the opportunity to develop their own brief in an area of personal interest. Students will work within a structured programme towards solutions in poster, billboard, magazine advertisement and website briefs. They will gather their own photographic resources and use drawing mediums and Photoshop to generate and develop ideas.NZQA External Assessment:

Content:
Students will research and investigate Art Practice in an area of personal interest to them. They will also develop two series of wet and dry artworks.NZQA Internal Assessment:

Content:
Students will investigate the work a range of artists/photographers to inform their own ideas about multiple image construction. Students will investigate the significance of a particular kind of photographic practice. They will consider how it has been developed both thematically and pictorially. They will analyse how the attitudes, approaches and techniques, employed by the artist have developed over time.NZQA Internal Assessment:
