STUDENT VOICE
We encourage students to become active participants in their learning.
As part of the development of the total person we also encourage students to become involved in sporting and cultural activities and to develop a spiritual awareness in their lives.
Through all such activities we foster opportunities for students to participate and grow in leadership roles.
Student Council
This comprises a representative from each of the twenty Vertical Form classes. The student Council provides a forum for raising and discussing issues of direct relevance to students. The Council meets each month and is chaired by the Board of Trustees Student Representative.
Prefects
Each year prefects are selected from Year 13 students. Prefects are considered important student leaders and are involved in the organisation of College activities.
House Captains
Each of our four College Houses has a Captain who is elected by the student members of their House. They are involved in organising and encouraging students in House activities and House liturgies.
Student Tutors
Student tutors are involved in tutoring other students in their areas of strength. These students may work one-on-one with others or may assist in the general classroom environment.
CARITAS
Caritas is the main fundraising arm of the Catholic Church for social justice. The money raised from Caritas throughout New Zealand is focused on providing support to communities throughout the world. The Campion Caritas committee helps fundraising at a local level and continues in its advocacy of social justice issues.
Young Vinnies
The Young Vinnies is the youth section of the St Vincent de Paul Society. The Young Vinnies concentrate on providing practical support for those who are in need in our local community.
Sport
Sport is a significant activity in the development of young people. At Campion College students are involved in a wide range of sports.
